Believe it or not, but the majority of students do want to learn, even if they act like they don’t! Teachers also play far more a part in students’ lives that just knowledge bearers; they have the opportunity to be a major influence in their personal development as a person growing up into adulthood.

 

Medical Practitioner

 

Many people dream about what their lives would have been like had they spent the time training to become a doctor. The thing is, it’s never too late to do the work required, and it you are looking for a role where you are helping people and improving their lives every single day, then the rewards can be well worth the time investment. If you have money put by then of course you could go full-time back to university in order to get the qualifications, or it may even be possible to do this part time around your current job. If this sounds like a bit too much, you could train as an assistant practitioner, which will eventually allow you to work with certain medical patients or perhaps in a nursing role.

 

Finance

Working in finance presents you with an amazing array of opportunities, with a great level of earning potential, depending on which level you end up.Finance careers can range from working in a bank branch and dealing with customers on things like their mortgage or loan applications, all the way to being responsible for stocks and shares in the City of London. As well as the financial rewards, the responsibility and respect you can gain from your peers make this industry one of the most sought after to be involved in.

 

Entrepreneur

 

Of course, if you want to change your career because you no longer want to work for somebody else, then you may have an idea for your own business. The internet has opened up a world of possibilities when it comes to working online, and it means that you don’t necessarily need to have a large start-up fund to get going. Sometimes even just a laptop computer and a good internet connection is all you need! Maybe you could turn to writing, professional blogging or creating websites – the word really is your oyster!
